In September, the Fall of 1973, a freshman and junior were introuced via a blind date. A telephone call to Menk Hall dorm from neighboring Whitcraft Hall...both located in Studebaker Complex began with a sexy low voice on the telephone. This introduction was the beginning of a love affair for the ages.  After winning  the title of "Most Popular Sweethearts" while matriculating on the campus of Ball State University, Janet Shanklin and Rayford Crenshaw solidfied their love three years later. The snow fell softly as they sang to each other and  then promised to love each other until the end of time. Three children and four grandchildren later...they're still together...and still in love.
